During the trip we will definitely get acquainted with the Selarón Staircase, it bears the name of its creator, the Chilean artist Jorge Selarón. He began working on the creation of a unique art object in 1990 and devoted more than twenty years to his work. The famous Staircase is decorated with bright mosaics, multi-colored tiles and ceramics in the colors of the Brazilian flag and connected the city districts of Lapa and Santa Teresa. The colorful mosaic staircase consists of tiles collected from different parts of the world. The unique staircase has 250 steps and is 150 m long and is one of the brightest and most popular attractions in Brazil. The staircase has become the personification of the inspired artist Jorge Selarón and has immortalized his name forever.

The district arose and developed at the foot of the Santa Teresa monastery in the middle of the 18th century. Santa Teresa was very popular with the local nobility, successful businessmen and politicians, thanks to which the district soon began to acquire luxurious estates and mansions. Since then, the colonial landmark has been the hallmark of Santa Teresa. In the local museums, you can admire collections of modern art, antique furniture and dishes. The colorful restaurants of Santa Teresa offer traditional Brazilian cuisine and magnificent views from their terraces. Small antique shops and art galleries lure local tourists with a variety of souvenirs and paintings. The area is home to the famous Parque das Ruinas art center, which offers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with Brazilian art.

Visit to the historic center of Rio de Janeiro
A friendly walk through the city center is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the history and culture of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Take some time and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of city life. Rio is crowded. We will walk along narrow streets with ancient landmarks, meet churches and monuments.

The historic center of the city is the place where the city began to grow in the middle of the 16th century. Here you will see many historical buildings and churches, feel the spirit of old Rio, walk along a shopping alley reminiscent of old Portugal. After all, it was the Portuguese who settled here more than 400 years ago. Here is the heart of the city's cultural life - the Cultural Center of the Bank of Brazil and an amazing building that makes every tourist in Rio de Janeiro wonder - what's inside? This impressive Catholic church building, built in a modern style, is almost 90 meters high and resembles the Mayan pyramids.
And finally, if you want to enjoy a wonderful Brazilian coffee, you can drop by the Colombo Patisserie (*paid on site by tourists). The Colombo Patisserie has already celebrated its 120th year of existence, and still pleases its visitors with the most delicious sweets in the city. Today, a transfer to the airport and a flight to Sao Paulo are organized for you. Upon arrival, transfer and check-in at the hotel. Rest after the flight. *We recommend staying at the unusual Unique Hotel. This is a designer hotel in Brazil - it looks like a huge slice of watermelon on columns with large round windows, a magnificent hall, a swimming pool on the roof and a Sky bar.
